This was a big week for Zero. We shipped six new features, added 19 use cases, and published a new blog post, all in five days. Here's everything that landed.
Select your model
You can now pick which model powers each conversation. Ten built-in options are available today: Claude Opus 4.7, Claude Opus 4.6, Claude Sonnet 4.6, GLM-5.1, Claude Haiku 4.5, Kimi K2.6, Kimi K2.5, MiniMax M2.7, DeepSeek Chat, and DeepSeek Reasoner, each with a different cost multiplier so you can balance quality and spend.
Models follow a three-tier hierarchy: Workspace default → Agent → Web Chat / Slack / Schedule. Each level inherits from its parent, and child settings override the parent. Toggle "Use agent default" to snap back instantly.

Custom connectors
Zero already connects to 100+ tools out of the box. Now you can build your own.
Custom connectors let you register any internal API or third-party service that's unique to your organization. Define the endpoint prefix, set the authentication header, and Zero handles credential injection at the network boundary. Your secrets never touch the sandbox.
Once created, the connector is available to every agent in your workspace immediately. No code changes, no redeployment.

Voice input
Talk to Zero instead of typing. Voice input is now available in the web chat. Tap the microphone icon, speak naturally, and Zero transcribes and acts on your request instantly.
This is especially useful for quick tasks when you're multitasking or on the go. No need to type out a full prompt. Just say what you need.

Switch agents in Slack
If your workspace has multiple agents (say, one tuned for engineering and another for marketing), you can now switch between them directly inside Slack.
Open the Zero app home, tap Switch, and choose which agent responds to your mentions and DMs. The change only affects your own messages, so teammates can each use the agent that fits their workflow.

Sandbox reuse
Zero's sandbox now persists files between sessions. Your previous work (cloned repos, generated files, installed dependencies) is still there the next time Zero picks up a task.
This means no more re-cloning a repository every time you ask Zero to make a code change. No more reinstalling packages. The environment stays warm, and tasks start noticeably faster as a result.
Chat thread improvements
We made conversations faster and smoother across the board:
- Instant thread loading: Long threads now open right where you left off, with older messages loading as you scroll up.
- File previews in chat: PDFs, CSVs, JSON, Markdown, and more preview directly in the conversation. Download with one click.
- Noticeably faster responses: Backend optimizations make sending messages feel snappier.
19 new use cases
We added 19 new use case pages this week, expanding coverage into marketing, support, and compliance workflows. Some highlights:
- Marketing: Community forum monitoring, social competitor tracking, brief-to-draft content workflows, on-brand cover art generation, content experiment engine, and agent-orchestrated video production
- Engineering: Voice-driven managed agents, fleet monitoring, release readiness checks, and integration health with self-healing
- Support: Developer support triage and docs auto-update from support signals
- Ops: Self-tuning agent loops, specialized agent personas, morning briefs, and Gmail polling schedules
- Content: End-to-end SEO blog writing with keyword research, AI-generated images, and CMS publishing
Total use case count is now 55. Browse all use cases →
